PROJECT ZERO · DAY ZERO

Can a 52-year-old, gym-averse nerd rebuild himself without buying into fitness bullshit?

I’m starting at 233 lb. I’m not a trainer. I’m not selling a finished transformation. I’m the test subject — and I’m building the program I couldn’t find.

If it works, you’ll see how. If it doesn’t, you’ll see that too.

THE HYPOTHESIS

Fitness should not have to become your personality.

The question is not how fast I can make the scale drop. It’s how little complexity I can get away with while meaningfully improving body composition, strength, stamina, mobility, and health — and actually sticking with it.

PROJECT ZERO CONSTITUTION

Rules before results.

If the rules change whenever the result gets inconvenient, the experiment is worthless.

01

No miracle claims.

If a result has not happened, I don’t get to advertise it.

02

Evidence gets cited.

“Trust me, bro” is not a source. Important recommendations should come with receipts.

03

Experts outrank Brian.

Where individual medical conditions matter, qualified clinicians get the last word.

04

No required magic powder.

No proprietary supplement needs to exist for M3 to work.

05

Failures stay visible.

If I try something and it fails, that becomes data — not a deleted post.

06

It has to fit real life.

A plan that only works when life is perfect doesn’t work.

FOUR SCOREBOARDS

The bathroom scale doesn’t get the only vote.

Project Zero measures whether the machine is actually improving.

BodyWeight trend, waist, standardized photos.
StrengthObjective progression on repeatable movements.
EngineRepeatable walking / cardiovascular benchmarks.
AdherenceHow often I actually did the damn program.

WHAT THIS MAY BECOME

M3 has to earn the right to exist.

If Project Zero works, the surviving methods become the M3 Program: a low-cost, evidence-backed system for middle-aged men who know they need to do something but don’t want fitness to consume their lives.

If it fails, I’m not going to package the failure and call it proven. Pre-Founders get the research, notes, postmortem, and whatever useful material survives.

Day Zero

233 lb. Age 52. No trainer origin story, no secret athletic past, no finished program to sell. Project Zero starts here.

Resistance Is Futile

Project Zero begins on September 7 – 7 of 9 Day. Starting weight: 233 lb. The goal is not a crash diet or a magic number on the scale, but a sustainable rebuild of strength, energy, health, confidence, and body composition.

The Question

What is the smallest evidence-led health and fitness system a busy, skeptical, middle-aged man can actually sustain long enough to matter?

OPEN

What should the finish line be?

Use 185–200 lb as a working range, but let body composition, strength, health, and sustainability determine the real destination.

OPEN

Does M3 require a gym?

No assumption yet. Project Zero will test the minimum practical equipment and time required for meaningful progress.

TESTING

What happens when motivation disappears?

Develop Minimum / Standard / Plus modes so a bad week does not become a failed program.
